Use a level and set the door in correct upright position to create a 0 degrees pitch
and 0 degrees roll reference.
3 Open the
Setup
menu.
4 On the
Setup
menu, select
Installation
.
Observe that the
Installation
dialog box opens.
5 At the bottom of the
Sensor list
page, select
Add New Sensor
.
The
Add New Sensor
dialog box opens.
6 Select
Yes
.
7 In the very first
PX Sensor Configurator
dialog box, select communication port
and sensor type, then select
Connect
.
The relevant sensor
Configurator
dialog box opens.
8 Select
Calibrate Sensor
to open the dialog box.
9 Provided that the door is in its leveled position, select
Leveled
.
10 Tilt the door at least 20 degrees inwards in the roll direction and make sure the
physical door pitch does not change.
11 Once the door is stable in the tilted position, select
Tilted
.
12 Select
Set
to accept the values.
Result
The selected door sensor is calibrated for the pitch and roll measurements.

Manually entering the calibration values for the pitch and
roll measurements
You can calibrate a sensor in the relevant
Configurator
dialog box. If you know the
trawl door installation offset values, you can enter manually them without the need of
performing a new calibration whenever the sensor is replaced.
Context
When a sensor is mounted on a trawl door, the pitch and roll measurements may need to
be calibrated. If you do not calibrate your sensors you will not know if the pitch and roll
readings are correct. If existing sensors have been replaced, or new sensors have been
installed, a new calibration is required if the trawl door installation offset values are not
available. When you want to use the same sensor in different doors, you do not have to
perform the calibration as long as the door installation offset values are properly entered.
