Defining the file and folder settings for raw data recording
The SN90 allows you to record both raw and beamformed echo data. The data are
saved on the Processor Unit hard disk - or on an external data storage device - according
to the preferences you have defined. The files can later be copied or moved to other
recordable media.
Prerequisites
If you wish to save your recorded data on an external hard disk, make sure that it is
connected to the Processor Unit.
Context
On the SN90, you can start and stop data recording in several ways.
a
Click the
Record
button on the top bar. Click one more time to stop
recording.
b
On the
Operation
menu, click the red circle in the
Record
button to start
recording . Click the black rectangle to stop recording.
c
Click the middle of the
Record
button to open it, and select
On
or
Off
.
The
Record
button on the top bar will switch to red colour when recording is
On
.
Procedure
1
Click the
Operation
icon.
The icon is located under the
Main
menu. It is used to open the
Operation
menu.

Verify that recording is
Off
.
3
Locate the
Record
button.
4
Click the middle of the button to see the choices on the button menu.

Click
File Output
to open the dialog box.
