function establishes communication between the M3 software and Sonar
Head, then starts “pinging”.

Connect
enables the
Connect
function.

Disconnect
The
Disconnect
function stops operation of the Sonar Head.
Description
In the M3 software, clicking
Setup
→
Disconnect
performs this function.
This function only works if the Sonar Head is running. Attempting to execute this
command when the Sonar Head is not running will elicit a
FAIL
response.

Get Status
The
Get Status
function displays information about the Sonar Head and M3 software
in the API response text.
Description
There is no equivalent to this function in the M3 software.
This command will return the Sonar Head status (Pinging, Connected, or Not Connected)
as well as the M3 software version number.
Note
The <Status> tag shown in API responses is not related to the
Get Status
function.
