Context

Note

The K-Sync application may be run on a portable PC for configuration only, or you may
run the K-Sync application from a permanently installed Workstation PC that can be
used both for start-up configuration and for monitoring.

Procedure

1

Turn on the computer.

2

Insert the K-Sync software media.

3

Use a file manager application on the computer to access the software files.

4

Run

setup.exe

from the K-Sync installation media

5

Follow the system messages.

Next

to select installation directory

Read and accept the licence agreement and then click

Next

c

Click

Next

to start installation

d

Click

Finish

when the installation is completed

Restart the computer to finalize the installation

Configure the K-Sync Unit network address

Description on how to change the network address of the K-sync Unit.

Prerequisites

• This procedure assumes that the subnet for the network interface is the same as the

existing configuration of the synchronizing unit (otherwise you will not be able to
connect to it).

• The K-Sync must be turned on.

• The Hydrographic Work Station must be set up with an address in the 157.237.60.xxx

(255.255.240.0) subnet.

• The Synchronizing Unit IP address is

157.237.60.169

.

Note

If you can’t contact the K-Sync unit you may have to change the IP address of your
local computer to

157.237.60.160

Procedure

Close K-Sync Application, if running.
