Turning on the Flexview

In order to use the Flexview, you must turn it on. You must first turn on the display and the
Sonar Processor. After this you can start the Flexview software.

Prerequisites

• The Flexview units have all been installed.

• All power and interface cables and connections have been connected and verified.

• All system units have been inspected.

Context

The Flexview software is not automatically started when the Sonar Processor is turned on.
Double-click the Flexview icon on the Sonar Processor desktop to start the software.

Note

The Flexview is not provided with an on/off switch.

Procedure

1

Power up the Sonar Head using the power supply.

Note

It may take up to 60 seconds for the Flexview software to connect to the Sonar Head
once the power is applied.

Turn on the Sonar Processor.

Wait while the operating system loads.

3

Log in to Windows.

4

Double-click the Flexview icon on the Sonar Processor desktop to start the software.

5

Once the Flexview software has started, observe that the presentation fills the entire
screen.

The software starts up using many of the same settings as the last time you used it.
If these settings are acceptable, continue operation. If you wish to alter any of the
settings, see the relevant procedures.

Connect

The sonar will start pinging automatically once the connection is complete.
