3.5.2
Information Pane of the OTDR
The information pane shows the measured parameter, event lists, A/B marker, and
analyzed parameters.
3.5.2.1
Trace Measurement Parameters
The most important measurement parameters and analysis parameters of the trace are
always displayed in the information pane, as shown in Figure 3-6.
Figure 3-6 Trace measurement parameters
As shown in Figure 3-6, measurement parameters of the trace include the link
attenuation, link length, link loss, measurement duration, measurement date, distance
range, pulse width, refection rate, and laser wavelength. For definition and settings of
these parameters, see section 3.4.3.2 "Parameter Setup Operations." To view these
parameters, press [ESC] or tap
or
on the touch screen to page up or down the
data in the information pane.
3.5.2.2
Event List
The event list indicates the positions of events under test. Non-reflection events
(such as splices) and reflection events (such as connectors and any defined landmarks)
will be displayed on the event list. All the event points are marked with red icons, as
shown in Figure 3-7.
