Remove bolt (6), then remove cover (7) and take out
strainer (9) together with spring (8).

Remove any dirt stuck to strainer (9), then wash it in clean
diesel oil or flushing oil. If strainer (9) is damaged, replace
it with a new part.

Install spring (8) and strainer (9) to cover (7) .
Replace the O-ring on the cover with a new part, then
install the cover.
10. Pour in the specified amount of engine oil from oil filler (F).
11. After filling with oil, check that the oil is at the specified
level. For details, see “CHECK TRANSMISSION OIL
LEVEL, ADD OIL (4-28)“.
12. Check that there is no leakage of oil from the transmission
case or oil filter.
CLEAN TRANSMISSION CASE BREATHER

1.
Stop the engine and wait for the temperature at all parts to
go down.
2.
Remove all mud and dirt from around the breather.
3.
Remove the breather and fit a cover to the breather mount-
ing hole to prevent dirt from entering.
4.
Soak the breather in flushing liquid and wash it.
5.
Install the breather.
