METHOD FOR SELECTING STEERING MODE
Three steering modes are available:
• 2WS steering: to be used when moving fast and when
travelling on roads
• 4WS steering (cornering): to be used in the tight spaces of
construction sites
• 4WS C steering (crab): to be used when positioning the
machine in construction site

Select the type of steering with the switches (1) and (2) on the right instrument panel. For detail, see
“SWITCHES (3-89)”.

In the area of the monitor (3) dedicated to the steering indi-
cator lights, the indicator light of the steering selected is
displayed or the warning lights for the corrections to be
made. For detail, see “STEERING MODE DISPLAY
(3-35)”.

Steer the machine left or right using the steering wheel (4).
For detail, see “METHOD FOR ADJUSTING STEERING
WHEEL (3-142)”.

WARNING
• Before swinging machine, make sure that there is no
one within its operating range and that there are no
obstacles in the surrounding area.
• If the travel levers or travel pedals are operated when
the engine speed is decreased by the auto-decelera-
tion function, the engine speed will suddenly increase.
Operate the levers carefully.
1.
Operate L.H. work equipment control lever (1) to swing the
upper structure.
(A): Swing LEFT
(B): Swing RIGHT
2.
When you do not swing the upper structure, set L.H. work
equipment control lever (1) to N (neutral) position.
The swing brake is applied.

WARNING
If the travel pedal are operated when the engine speed is decreased by the auto-deceleration function,
the engine speed will suddenly increase. Operate the levers carefully.
