12. Hold the top of the rod (7) and pull it to remove the strainer
(8).
13. Remove all dirt from strainer (8) and wash it in clean diesel
fuel or oil.
If the strainer (8) is damaged, replace it with a new one.
14. Insert the strainer (8).
15. Install cover (4) with the bolts while pressing it with the
hand.
Check O-ring fitted to cover (4). If it is damaged, replace it
with a new one.
16. Fill the hydraulic oil tank via the opening of the filling nozzle (F).
17. Check that the oil level is between the H and L lines on sight gauge (G).
18. Tighten the cap of oil filler port (F) securely.
19. Bleed air from the hydraulic circuit.
For the air bleeding procedure of hydraulic circuit, see “METHOD FOR BLEEDING AIR FROM HYDRAUL-
IC CIRCUIT”.
20. After bleeding the air, check the level again in the tank.

ADDING OIL”.

Maintenance for every 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 hours service should be performed at the same
time.
METHOD FOR REPLACING ENGINE HIGH-PRESSURE PIPING CLAMP
Special techniques and tools are required for this work.
Ask your Komatsu distributor for replacement of the engine high-pressure piping.
METHOD FOR REPLACING FUEL SPRAY PREVENTION CAP
Ask your Komatsu distributor for replacement of the fuel spray prevention caps.
EVERY 9000 HOURS MAINTENANCE
Maintenance for every 100, 250, 500, 1000 and 4500 hours service should be performed at the same time.
METHOD FOR REPLACING DEF HOSE
Ask your Komatsu distributor for replacement of the DEF hose.
END OF SERVICE LIFE
