Perform the bleeding of the front and rear braking units in
sequence and with the same procedure.
MANUAL RELEASE METHOD OF THE PARKING BRAKE

WARNING
• In case of failure of the hydraulic system and if the parking brake cannot be disengaged either with
the switch or the safety relay release lever, before the removal of the machine, manually release the
negative brake on the rear axle.
• Before the manual release of the brake, place safety chocks on the front and rear wheels.
• Do not start the engine after manually releasing the brake.
The release of the parking brake is achieved by acting on the negative brake mounted on the rear axle in ac-
cordance with the following procedure.
1.
Loosen the nuts (1) of the screw (2) (2 per side) by approx. 8 mm.
2.
Fully tighten the screws (2).
3.
Tighten the screws (2) alternately by a 1/4 turn at a time up
to a maximum of 1 turn.
Adjustment is required after restoring the hydraulic system. Contact the Komatsu distributor for this operation.
