WARNING
• Before moving the machine, make sure that you perfectly know the control functions and all the rel-
evant safety regulations.
• The operator must be seated in the driving position with fastened seat belt.
• Before operating the travel pedal, check that the upper turret is facing the front swing axle.
If the upper turret is facing the transmission, the travel commands (forward and backward) and
steering (right and left) are inverted.
• Before moving the machine, make sure that there is no one within its operating range and that there
are no obstacles in the surrounding area.
• Be extremely careful when reversing, and make sure that there are no persons, other equipment or
obstacles in the way.
• Avoid any travel manoeuvre or with the accelerator at maximum speed, since manoeuvres carried
out in these conditions may cause abrupt movements.
• Remove all obstacles on the route.
• When the auto-deceleration function is active and the hand throttle is at its maximum, if the travel
pedal is actuated, the engine speed increases sharply and particular attention is required.
• Make sure that the travel alarm functions correctly.
• If the travelling on street mode is selected, the travel alarm only operates with the reverse gear en-
gaged.
If travelling on street mode is selected, the activation of the travel pedal gradually increases the en-
gine speed to the value set by the hand throttle by a minimum of 1100 rpm.
NOTICE
• For road travel and on the activation of the “Autocruise” switch, see “METHOD FOR TRAVELING
• The travel direction must be selected with the engine at a low speed and the machine idle.
Before manoeuvring the machine, warm up the engine and the
oil of the hydraulic system and check the correct operation of
the instruments.
1.
Select the required steering type. For details, see “STEERING, TRAVEL AND TRAVELLING ON ROADS
SIGNALS DISPLAY (3-43)”
2.
Position the hand throttle (3) at the desired engine speed. (For details, see “FUEL CONTROL DIAL
(3-100)”).
NOTICE
If the engine speed does not increase, it is possible that the auto-deceleration switch is ON. Check
the corresponding caution lamp. For details of the caution lamps, see “AUTO-DECELERATION
SWITCH (3-56)”.
