Apply a suitable amount of grease on the O-ring (6).
REMARK
When applying the grease, be careful not to allow the
grease to adhere to the water drain port (7) and threaded
part (8) of the drain valve.

Tighten the drain valve (3) by hand until it contacts the bot-
tom of the transparent cup (2).

Remove the container for catching the drained fuel.
8.
Turn the valve (5) to OPEN position (O).
METHOD FOR CHECKING OIL LEVEL IN HYDRAULIC TANK, ADDING OIL

WARNING
• Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn in-
jury. Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
• The oil may spray out when the oil filler cap is removed. Turn it slowly to release the internal pres-
sure, then remove it carefully.

Set the machine in the posture shown in the figure.
1) Start the engine and run it at low idle.
2) Lower the blade and/or outriggers to the ground.
3) Retract the arm and bucket cylinders.
4) Swing the boom to the center.
5) Lower the boom and lower the bucket tooth to the
ground.
6) Stop the engine.

Open the central right cover.

Check with the sight gauge (G).
If the oil level is below the level L, the hydraulic oil is insuf-
ficient. Perform the following procedure.
