It is dangerous and may cause personal injury.
Always observe the followings.
• Always use the tires specified by Komatsu and maintain the correct inflation pressure.
• Before inflating the tires, always check the condition of the rims and the external condition of the tire to de-
tect the presence of dents, cuts, tears of reinforcement or other defects.
• If the inflation pressure reduces abnormally or if problems arise with the tires or rims, contact the Komatsu
distributor for the necessary repairs.
• Perform tire inflating using a gun complete with pressure gauge.
• Before inflation, make sure there are no people in the vi-
cinity. Stand on the side of the tread or outer belt.
• Do not exceed the prescribed pressures for the tire type.
Check that the left and right tire pressures are the same.
• Do not adjust tire inflammation after the machine has per-
formed operations with heavy loads or has travelled at
high speed.
• Do not weld or use heat sources near the tires.
HANDLE ACCUMULATOR AND GAS SPRING
This machine is equipped with an accumulator. Even after the engine stops, if the work equipment control lever
is operated after stop of the engine in the direction to lower the work equipment, the work equipment goes down
with its own weight.
After stopping the engine, set the lock lever to LOCK position.
The accumulator and gas spring are charged with high-pressure nitrogen gas. If the accumulator is handled
mistakenly, it may cause an explosion. It is dangerous and may cause serious personal injury or death. Always
observe the following.
• Do not disassemble.
• Do not bring it near flame or dispose of it in fire.
• Do not make holes in it, weld it, nor use a cutting torch.
• Do not hit or roll the accumulator, or subject it to any im-
pact.
• When disposing of the accumulator, the gas must be re-
leased. Ask your Komatsu distributor to perform this work.
PRECAUTIONS FOR COMPRESSED AIR
• When performing cleaning with compressed air, there is a hazard of serious personal injury or death
caused by flying dust or particles.
• When using compressed air to clean the filter element or radiator, wear protective eyeglasses, anti-dust
mask, gloves, and other protective equipment.
