METHOD FOR STOPPING MACHINE

WARNING
Avoid a sudden stop. Stop the machine gradually.
Stopping under normal conditions
1.
Release the travel pedal (1) and press the brake pedal (2) to stop the machine.
2.
Engage the neutral gear (N) with the switch on the right
joystick (3).
Emergency stop

WARNING
This can cause the machine to stop abruptly.
The operator must be seated in the driving position with fastened seat belt.
Using the brakes in the event of an emergency
The machine is equipped with an emergency braking system conforming to ISO 3450.
In the event of a fault in the power supply of the braking system (engine or pump) during travel, this system
allows to brake the machine using the energy stored in the accumulators, allowing to stop in safety.
It is possible to make five braking operations before the energy stored in the accumulators runs out.
In the event of a service brake failure, the machine can be stopped using the parking brake switch (4).
1.
Release the travel pedal (1).
2.
Engage the parking brake with the switch (4).
Steering in the event of an emergency
The machine is equipped with an emergency steering system conforming to ISO 5010 (BSEN 12643).
In the event of a fault in the power source of the steering system (engine) during travel, this system allows to
steer by allowing the machine to stop safely.
When emergency steering is performed, the effort required on the steering and the number of steering revolu-
tions increases.
Perform the following procedure to check the operation of the steering system:
1.
Lift the front wheels with the outriggers or the work equipment and stop the engine.
2.
Turn the steering in both directions and check the correct movement of the wheels.
