METHOD FOR HYDRAULIC SYSTEM WARM-UP OPERATION
k
k
WARNING
• When warming up the hydraulic equipment, check that
there is no person or obstacle in the area around the
machine, then sound the horn and start the operation.
• Perform the warm-up operation for the hydraulic
equipment until the hydraulic oil temperature caution
lamp displays the proper temperature.
• The warm-up operation for the hydraulic equipment is
necessary not only for the circuit between the pump
and cylinders and between the pump and motor, but
also for the control circuits. Do not perform the opera-
tion just for one cylinder or motor, or the operation
just in one direction. Perform the operation in all direc-
tions for all the work equipment (boom, arm and buck-
et), swing, travel, and attachment (if equipped).
• The rear camera must be deactivated in order to dis-
play the hydraulic oil temperature gauge. To deactivate
it, engage the travel on street mode or place the con-
trols lock lever in position L (LOCK).
For details, see “STREET MODE SWITCH (3-60)” and
“CAMERA ONLY MODE SWITCH (3-63)”
1.
Check that engine (1) coolant temperature caution lamp
(1) displays the correct temperature.
• (A) Display when temperature is correct: Caution lamp
background (C) is blue.
• (B) Display when temperature is low: Caution lamp
background (C) is white.
If it displays low temperature, perform additional warm up
of the engine until engine coolant temperature caution
lamp (1) displays the correct temperature.
For details of the caution lamps, see “METHOD FOR EN-
GINE WARM-UP OPERATION (3-177)”.
2.
Set the working mode to P mode (heavy-duty operation
mode).
Warm up the hydraulic component quickly.
For the details of the working mode setting procedure, see
“WORKING MODE SELECTOR SWITCH (3-54)”.
