1.

Pull the engine rear cover (1) backward to open it.
Open  the  engine  rear  cover  (1)  fully  and  it  is  secured  by
rod (2).

2.

Pull the cooling cover (3) backward to open it.
Open  the  cooling  cover  (3)  fully,  and  it  is  secured  by  rod
(4).

3.

Remove the nylon cover on the battery.

4.

Disconnect the quick release battery terminal (-) ((-) termi-
nal side) first.

5.

Remove the connecting cable on the positive (+) terminal
side.

6.

Remove  the  mounting  nut  (5)  and  remove  the  battery
mounting hardware (6).

7.

Take the battery out of the machine.

METHOD FOR INSTALLING BATTERY

 CAUTION

• Connect the quick release battery terminal (-) ((-) terminal side) lastly.
• When replacing the battery, secure the battery body with the battery mounting hardware.
• To prevent a fire, install the nylon cover above the battery so that it envelops the battery and it is

not flipped.
Replace the rubber cover immediately if the nylon cover is damaged.

• If chloride is accumulated on the top surface of battery and around terminals, clean them with ap-

proximately  40 °C  of  warm  water  and  dry  them  thoroughly,  and  then  connect  the  battery  cable  to
them.

 

NOTICE
After securing the battery, check that it does not move.
If it moves, tighten it again securely.
