OPERATION OF WORK EQUIPMENT
7
WARNING
If the lever is operated in the deceleration range, the engine speed will suddenly rise. Operate the levers
carefully.
If the work equipment control levers are operated quickly, the engine speed will suddenly rise. Operate
the levers carefully.
The work equipment is operated with the left work equipment control lever and right work equipment control lever.
The left work equipment control lever operates the arm, swing, and bottom dump (CLOSE); the right work equip-
ment control lever operates the boom, bucket, and bottom dump (OPEN).
The relationship between the operation of the lever and the movement of the work equipment is as shown in the
diagram on the right.
When the lever is released, it returns to the HOLD position and the work equipment is held in position.
q
If the work equipment control levers are returned to the neutral position when the machine is stopped, even if
the fuel control dial is set to FULL, the auto-deceleration mechanism will act to reduce the engine speed to a
mid-range speed.
REMARK
If the key in the starting switch is turned ON within 15 seconds after stopping the engine, it is possible to lower the
work equipment to the ground by operating the levers.
In addition, the levers can also be operated to release any remaining pressure inside the hydraulic cylinder circuit
and to lower the boom after loading the machine on a trailer.
