Handling of electrical equipment
Precautions for troubleshooting electrical cir-
cuits

Be sure to turn the starting switch to the “OFF”
position before disconnecting or connecting
the connectors.
q
Before performing troubleshooting, check all
the related connectors for loose connection.

Check the related connectors for their per-
formance by disconnecting and connect-
ing them several times.
q
Be sure to connect all the disconnected con-
nectors before proceeding to the next step.
a
If the starting switch is turned to the “ON”
position with the connectors disconnected,
the failure which is not related to the part
which is actually failed.
q
When performing the troubleshooting for the
c i rc u i t (m e a s u r e m e n t o f v o l ta g e , r e s i s -
tance,continuity, current, etc.), shake the
related wiring harnesses and connectors sev-
eral times and check that the multimeter read-
ing does not change.

If there is any value change on the multim-
eter, there may be a defective contact in
the circuit.
