Disassembly and assembly of work equipment cylinder
Assembly of piston rod
1. Set piston rod assembly (2) to tool U1 .
2. Install cylinder head assembly (7).
3. Install the O-ring and the backup rings to collar
(6) and install the collar to the piston rod.

Install the two backup rings, one each in
the front and rear of the O-ring.

Only the boom and arm cylinders
4. Install plunger (5).

Only the boom and arm cylinders
5. Place plunger (10) on piston rod assembly (2).
Install 12 balls (9) and cap (8).

After installing the plunger, check that
there is a little play at its end.

Arm cylinder only
6. If both of piston rod assembly (2) and piston
assembly (4) are to be reused, assemble them
according to the following procedure. (If either
or both of them are to be replaced with new
ones, see Step 7.)

Using tool U2 , install piston assembly (4)
to piston rod assembly (2).

Any burrs or sharp edges on threaded
portions must be removed using files
before installation.
