WARNING
Before operating the stairway, check that there is no one
within the stairway operating range. If the stairway touch-
es or catches someone in its moving parts, the person will
suffer injury.
When storing the stairway, in particular, be extremely care-
ful to keep people away from around the storing position.
NOTICE
If the stairway is at raised position, the machine cannot
perform the swing, travel, and work equipment operation
since the proximity switch cannot detect the storing condi-
tion of stairway and the PPC lock is applied.
• At this time, the stairway caution lamp in the cab lights
up in red.
For details, see “STAIRWAY CAUTION LAMP”.
• When the stairway is stored, this lock is released.
• If the lock cannot be released even after the stairway
is stored, see “ACTIONS IF MACHINE DOES NOT
MOVE BY PROXIMITY SWITCH FAILURE ETC”.
Before operating the stairway, check that there is no obsta-
cle within the stairway operating range. If the stairway
comes into contact with the obstacles, the stairway or the
obstacles may break.
Ladder operating range (a): approximately 2.6 m
Distance between the first step of stairway and the ground (b):24 cm
You can operate the hydraulically operated stairway with the
switch box (1) beside the cab.
NOTICE
Check that the lock lever is in LOCK position.
If the lock lever is in FREE position, the hydraulically oper-
ated stairway cannot be operated.
