1.
Lower the work equipment to the flat ground of good foot-
ing as shown in the right figure, and stop the engine.
2.
Turn the starting switch to ON position (B).
Operate the operating portion (g) of the lock lever to set it
securely to FREE position (F).
3.
Operate each control lever to the full stroke within 5 to 6
seconds after stopping the engine.
Leave the starting switch in ON position.
4.
Start the engine, and run it approximately 10 seconds, and
then stop it.
Do not allow the engine speed to be 1000 rpm or more.
Keep the work equipment control lever in NEUTRAL.
5.
Operate each control lever to the full stroke within 5 to 6
seconds after stopping the engine.
Repeat the steps 3 to 4 for 3 times.
6.
Remove the cap of the hydraulic tank.
METHOD OF CHECKING BOOST PIPING HOSE CLAMP
Ask your Komatsu distributor to have the boost piping hose clamp checked.
METHOD FOR CHECKING ALTERNATOR
The bearing may have run out of grease. Contact your Komatsu distributor for inspection and repairs.
METHOD FOR CHECKING AND ADJUSTING ENGINE VALVE CLEARANCE
Special tools are necessary for inspection and maintenance. Ask your Komatsu distributor to perform this work.
METHOD FOR REPLACING KCCV FILTER ELEMENT

WARNING
After the engine has been operated, all the parts are still very hot. Do not replace the filter element im-
mediately. Wait for all of parts to cool down before starting the work.
