METHOD FOR OPENING AND CLOSING ENGINE HOOD

CAUTION
• When opening or closing the engine hood, place the machine on a level ground, lower the work
equipment to the ground, stop the engine, then perform the operation.
• When opening the engine hood, do not release the handle until the stay is set in the lock position
securely.
• When closing the engine hood, hold the handle securely since the engine hood may move down be-
cause of its own weight.
If the engine hood is not locked, it may close suddenly because of wind, etc.
• Immediately after the engine is stopped, the engine hood and after-treatment devices are still hot.
Accordingly wait until they have cooled down before opening or closing the engine hood.
METHOD FOR OPENING ENGINE HOOD
1.
Stop the machine on a level ground, lower the work equipment to the ground, then stop the engine.
2.
Insert the key into the key slot.
3.
Turn the key counterclockwise (A) and remove it.
Position (A): OPEN
Position (B): CLOSE (LOCK)
4.
Pull R.H. and L.H. levers (1) toward you.
