Replace the engine radiator cap (2).
1) Check that the coolant temperature is low enough for
you to touch the surface of engine radiator cap (2) by
bare hand, and turn the engine radiator cap (2) slowly
until it hits the stopper, and release the pressure.
2) While pushing the engine radiator cap (2), turn it until
it hits the stopper, then remove it.
3) Replace the engine radiator cap (2) with the new one,
and tighten it.

Replace the hybrid component radiator cap (3).
1) Check that the coolant temperature is low enough for you to touch the surface of hybrid radiator cap (3)
by bare hand, and turn the hybrid radiator cap (3) slowly until it hits the stopper, and release the pres-
sure.
2) While pushing the hybrid radiator cap (3), turn it until it hits the stopper, then remove it.
3) Replace the hybrid component radiator cap (3) with the new one, and tighten it.

Close the engine hood (1).
EVERY 4500 HOURS MAINTENANCE
Maintenance for every 100, 250 and 500 hours should be performed at the same time.
METHOD FOR CLEANING DEF TANK
Ask your Komatsu distributor for cleaning of the DEF tank.
METHOD FOR REPLACING DEF TANK FILLER PORT FILTER
Ask your Komatsu distributor for replacement of the DEF tank filler port filter.
EVERY 5000 HOURS MAINTENANCE
Maintenance for every 100, 250, 500 and 1000 hours service should be performed at the same time.
METHOD FOR CHANGING OIL IN HYDRAULIC TANK

WARNING
• Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot, and may cause burn in-
jury. Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
• When removing the oil filler cap, the oil may spurt out. Turn it slowly to release the internal pres-
sure, then remove it carefully.
NOTICE
If the machine is equipped with a hydraulic breaker, the hydraulic oil deteriorates faster than in the nor-
mal bucket digging operation. Accordingly, perform the maintenance by referring to “MAINTENANCE IN-
TERVAL FOR HYDRAULIC BREAKER”.
