Check the engine compartment for paper and debris. Clean out any paper and debris to avoid a fire hazard.

Remove any mud affixed to the undercarriage.
LOCK
To prevent vandalism, there are locks in the following places.
Places that can be locked with the starting switch key.
• R.H. and L.H. engine side covers (1) (2 places on left side,
2 places on right side)
• Battery inspection cover (2) (1 place on left side, 1 place
on rear side)
• Cab door opener (3)
• Cap with lock (4)
• Oil filler cap of hydraulic tank
• Power train oil filler pipe cap (if equipped)
• Reservoir tank inspection cover (5)
• Toolbox storage cover (6)
• DEF tank inspection cover (7)
• Water separator inspection cover (8)
METHOD FOR OPENING AND CLOSING CAP WITH LOCK
PROCEDURE FOR OPENING CAP WITH LOCK
1.
Insert the key into the key slot.
Make sure that you have inserted the key fully (1) before
turning it.
If the key is turned when only partially inserted, it may
break.
Position (L) : LOCK
(F) : OPEN position
(A) : Working angle of key 180 °
(B): 45 °
