3.5 GUARDS AND DRIVER’S SEAT
3.5.1 ENGINE HOOD
WARNING
q
Do not open the engine hood when the engine is run-
ning.
q
Do not use the machine without engine hood and do not
start the engine when the hood is open, unless this is
expressly prescribed for certain maintenance opera-
tions.
q
Non-compliance with these rules may lead to serious
accidents.
CAUTION
q
The opening and closing of the engine hood must be
carried out with the bucket resting on the ground.
OPENING THE HOOD
After releasing the lock, press the push button (1) and raise
the engine hood (2).
The maximum opening position is maintained by the lifting pis-
ton (3), which is locked in position by the safety retainer (4).
CLOSING THE HOOD
Press the safety retainer (4) of the lifting piston (3) and at the
same time lower the hood.
Push it downwards until the lock snaps.
Lock the hood.
IMPORTANT
q
Make sure that the safety retainer (4) is engaged every
time you open the hood.
