3.7.2 PARKING ON SLOPES
WARNING
q
Any movement of the machine when the operator is not
on board may cause serious accidents and even death;
to prevent this, carry out the operations described be-
low.
q
Park on slopes only when it is absolutely necessary.
q
Park only with the front bucket directed downwards.
1 - Park the machine with the front bucket directed downwards
and resting against an obstacle.
If this is not possible due to the absence of natural obsta-
cles, rotate the bucket in dumping position and thrust the
teeth into the ground.
2 - Shift the reversing gear lever to position (N) and apply the
parking brake.
3 - Operate the backhoe controls until the bucket teeth are in
digging position and thrust them into the ground.
4 - Press the servo control locking button (LED on).
5 - Engage the safety lock of the mechanical controls.
NOTE
q
On machines equipped with backhoe servo controls, all
movements are inhibited when the servo control locking but-
ton is in locking position (LED on).
6 - Stop the engine, proceeding as described in "3.8 STOP-
PING THE ENGINE".
7 - Leave the driving position using the ladders and handles
provided for this purpose.
8 - Put wedges under the wheels.
9 - Refuel, taking the necessary precautions.
10 - Remove the ignition key and lock the cab.
