4.5.2 Periodic Inspection (Documented)
Perform the items listed in the section 4.4.1.1. ‘What to Look for During a Frequent
Inspection’ in addition to the items listed below. All findings from this inspection should be
recorded.
4.5.2.1 Wiring:

Check for broken, loose, missing, and worn wires. Check all electrical cables for
signs of age, wear, or damage, and make sure all connections are tight and secure.
Repair or replace if needed.
If any of these abnormal conditions are evident, the Smart Cart should be taken out of service
and a detailed inspection and corrective actions should be taken by qualified maintenance
personnel.

Check for obvious signs of damage and
repair as necessary.
Disconnect Boxes
Quarterly
Verify disconnect is operational. Check for
loose, bent, or broken components.
Circuit Breakers
Quarterly
Inspect for loose or broken terminals.
Check for the presence of contaminants
like dirt, dust, grease, or rust.
