3 Operation
3.1 Commissioning
The P45000 is configured ex works for the version ordered. During commissioning, no settings can, or
need to be changed.
3.2 Operation
The high voltage transducer is configured ex works and does not have any operating elements.
3.3 Troubleshooting
First steps for troubleshooting:
• Check that all cables are properly connected.
• Check the power supply.
Comply with the safety instructions.
Malfunction state
Possible causes
Remedy
Current does not correspond
to the expected value
Check the input signal.
Check if the input signal is actually present.
Check the output signal.
Measure the current output, e.g., by connecting a
multimeter to the output terminals.
Check if the current output has
been overloaded.
Measure the voltage across the current output ter-
minal and measure the output current. Calculate the
resulting load. The load must not exceed 200 Ω for
currents up to ±50 mA or 133 Ω for currents up to
±75 mA.
Check for overdrive of the input
signal.
Negative overdrive results in a large negative signal.
Positive overdrive results in a large positive signal.
Check the output.
At the 10
…
50 mA output, check if the output cur-
rent is < 9 mA. Signals < 9 mA are to be interpreted
as an error. The cause may be an interrupted output,
for example.
3.4 Maintenance
The devices are maintenance-free. The customer may request that the devices be recalibrated or ad-
justed at the factory. The electronics cannot be repaired, as the devices are potted.
3.5 Return
If required, send the product in a clean condition and securely packed to your local contact.
