Installing and removing the valve drive
Installing and removing the valve drive
The valve drive is composed of the following subassemblies
Note:
Together, the gearbox and the motor form a single subas-
sembly. For this reason, always replace the gearbox and motor
together.
When is it necessary to
replace the gearbox and
motor?
If the valve position is not achieved and an error message
is displayed
If the valve position is not achieved in the specified time
If the axle can no longer be turned by hand
Removing the gearbox and motor
The valve drive is attached by circlips to the mounting, in order
to leave the valve drive with sufficient play.
Prerequisites
The valve has been unscrewed
The device hood has been removed
The cable from the gearbox and motor has been discon-
nected from the motherboard
The cable from the board of the photoelectronic sensor
has been disconnected from the motherboard
The correct spare parts are on hand:
134:1 gear ratio of the gearbox for the 13P/1C and
17P/1C multiposition valves
66:1 gear ratio of the gearbox for the 6P/3C injection
valves
Procedure
The following steps are recommended for removing the valve
drive:
1. Switch off the device and remove the external power supply
2. Remove both circlips
3. Disassemble the slotted disk
4. Unscrew the mounting as well as the board with the photo-
electric sensor
5. Remove the gearbox, motor and axle by lifting inward
