KD-50: Economy Keyboard Tray
INSTALLATION GUIDE
Important!
Protect your eyes - wear safety goggles during installation. This unit is only meant for computer keyboard
storage and is not capable of supporting human weight.
Installation Instructions:
1. Remove keyboard tray mounting components from inside keyboard tray (A) in the enclosed plastic bag.
2. Identify the drawer slides (C) and remove the outer detachable slide member of the left drawer slide by
pressing the spring clip. See Figure 1.
3. With a Phillips screwdriver, attach 2 mounting brackets (B) to each of the drawer slide outer members
using 4 short drawer slide screws (D). See figure 2. You may attach the mounting brackets to either the
top or bottom row of holes depending on your keyboard tray height preference.
Use 2 drawer slides screws (D) and 2 drawer slide nuts (E) to attach each bracket. The brackets are easiest
to install if the top bend is facing out. NOTE: The screws must be installed as illustrated in Figure 2 in
order for the slides to have full movement.
4. Attach the inner drawer slide member with the spring clip to the
keyboard tray with 2 long drawer slide screws (D) and 2 drawer slide
nuts (E). See Figure 3.
5. Repeat Steps 1 to 4 to attach the right drawer slide.
6. Attach keyboard tray with inner slide member to outer slide member
and brackets. See Figure 4.
7. Hold the keyboard tray in place under your work surface. Using a pen
or pencil, mark the location of the 12 screw holes. See Figure 5.
8. Drill 1/8” diameter starter holes at the screw locations. See Figure 6.
NOTE: Do not drill through the top of the desk.
9. With a Phillips screwdriver, attach the keyboard tray brackets to the
underside of the desktop. Use 3 desktop screws (E) per bracket, as
shown in Figure 7.
