6 Troubleshooting
Fault
Possible causes
Solution
No communication between PC and system
- No power supply to the system
- Defective or incorrect communication cable
- Cable connected to wrong COM port
- No Admin rights within Windows
- Com port numbers all used, the software has a
maximum of 10.
- Switch the contact on or check the fuse
- Use a USB A Male
– USB C Male data cable
- Connect cable to COM3 or select another COM port;
see section
- Restart the software by right clicking the executable
and
“Run as administrator”, if this solves it, change this
in the properties; compatibly; Run this program as an
administrator.
- Disconnect the ecu, under the
“Window” button you
can find: Run (if windows is in English), this opens a
command in which you can type: devmgmt.msc
this opens the Device manager. Under View select
“Devices by type” and “Show hidden devices”. In the
main window open the
“Ports (Com & LPT)” tree and
delete all the devices shown here that are grey.
Reconnect the ecu.
Engine does not start
- No engine speed signal
- Crank Type set is not correct
- Start-up menu settings are not correct
- Check the crank sensor and wiring

- Set duration of injection to the correct value
Poor engine starting when the engine is cold
