Dual 12'' Powered Subwoofer

The RSW-12 powered subwoofer extends and

intensifies low-frequency output in any audio

system. Whether providing all the bass for a

system built around small satellites or filling in

and reinforcing the bottom end for full-range

speakers, it dramatically enhances sonic

impact and emotional intensity.

The RSW-12 has a rear-firing active driver

and a front-mounted passive radiator, both

with 12-inch Cerametallic™ cones and rigid,

low-resonance cast-aluminum frames. The

active driver ’s large magnet structure and

high-temperature voice coil enable it to deliver

rich, clean, thunderous bass down to the

bottom of the audible frequency range without

sacrificing clarity and detail. It is powered by a

high-efficiency BASH

®

digital hybrid amplifier,

capable of 2400 watts dynamic power output.

The passive radiator enables the RSW-12 to

generate high levels of very deep bass from a

sensibly sized enclosure.

To ensure seamless blending with a system’s

main speakers, the RSW-12 incorporates an

exceptionally steep 36dB/octave low-pass

electronic crossover with a continuously

variable frequency control and a phase switch.

A bypass switch allows direct connection to

the subwoofer amplifier for use with the

crossover built into an A/V preamp or receiver.

The RSW-12’s level control is mounted on

the side of the cabinet for easy access. Input

is line-level via a stereo pair of RCA jacks;

another pair of RCA jacks provides unfiltered

output for connection to a second subwoofer

or other component. An “auto power” feature

enables the subwoofer to turn on and off

automatically.

Dynamic power indicates the actual power this amplifier will deliver to the woofer under normal operating

conditions. While the FTC power rating indicates power available on a continuous, long-term basis, subwoofers

do not rely on that type of power. Instead, the amplifier is called upon to deliver large, short-term peaks of

power to be able to support the wide dynamics required by today’s digital music and movie formats. In

addition to the required FTC power rating, we’ve provided the dynamic power rating as a better indication of

the product’s true performance.
