Keep these instructions in a safe place with the appliance as it contains the necessary information for the
proper use of the equipment.
This medical device is to be used either in health care establishment or at home.
The user can safely use all the functions of the breast pump.
For hygiene reasons, a new complete KIT EXPRESSION must be sold to each mother.
WARNINGS:
Do not touch the breast pump box for more than 1 second during use.
The tube connecting the collection container to the breast pump can reach the temperature of 43.5°C. The
user should not touch the tube for more than 10 minutes during the breast pump use.
Notes on the functionality of the breast pump
The international version of the KOLOR® breast shield (with an international screw thread cap) can only be
used with a matching collection container (same screw thread cap).
Switch off the breast pump when the collection container is filled in order to prevent milk from getting into
the interface bottle.
If the device has to be rinsed, entrust the operation to a maintenance professional (risk of bad handling).
CAUTION, in all cases:
• WARNING: Always disconnect the plug from the power supply before opening it.
• WARNING: Only an approved customer service is authorized to repair the breast pump.
• WARNING: Modifications are forbidden.
• WARNING: Only use the accessories supplied and mentioned in the instructions for use.
• WARNING: The warranty does not cover connection errors with non-compatible accessories.
• WARNING: Do not undertake service or maintenance operations while the breast pump is used.

the pump
Make sure that the power cord is connected to the power supply.
Check whether the switch is on the operating position.
Check that the current delivered by the power supply corresponds to that of the breast pump (Volt
Hz).
Check with another breast pump if power supply is available in the wall outlet.
If the problem continues, please contact DTF MEDICAL or your local distributor.
There is low or no
suction
Check that the breast shield is fully screwed onto the collection container (screw tightly).
Check that every tube is properly connected and not pinched.
Check that the cap of interface bottle correctly fits.
Check the condition of the O-ring between the breast shield and the collection container.
Check that there is no residue in the tube.
If the problem continues, please contact DTF MEDICAL or your local distributor.
The suction is too
important
Switch off then switch on the breast pump.
If the problem continues, please contact DTF MEDICAL or your local distributor.
The breast pump
stops abruptly when
used
Disconnect the tube from the interface bottle to vent it.
In case of alternating stop, please contact DTF MEDICAL or your local distributor.
The pump sucks
continuously
Do not tear off the breast shield from your breast (could cause pain and/or damage).
Insert your finger between your breast and the breast shield to let the air come in and remove it
more easily or disconnect the tube from the breast shield.
A piece or an
accessory is missing
Please contact DTF MEDICAL or your local distributor.
The breast pump is
too noisy or
malfunctioning
Please contact DTF MEDICAL or your local distributor.
Milk entered inside
the interface bottle
Clean it as soon as it has been soiled or discard it if you are in a healthcare establishment.
Check if the breast pump is not wet or damp. If it is, do not use the breast pump.
Do not use the milk that penetrated into the interface bottle or tubes.
The tubes should be briefly dipped into boiling water and then thoroughly dried.
