To turn the lights OFF, either use the thresh-
old light switch, or fully close and lock the
cabin door. The microswitch in the door lock
will tur n off the lights when the threshold
switch is left on.
T h e l i g h t s w i l l n o t g o o u t i f t h e d o o r i s
simply latched, the door handle must be in
the fully locked position.
When the batter y master switch is on, the
individual reading lights along the top of
the cabin may be turned on or off by the pas-
sengers with the pushbutton switch adjacent
to each light.
The light in the baggage compar tment may
be turned on or off by the adjacent push-but-
ton switch regardless of the position of the
batter y master switch. This baggage com-
par tment light is connected to the hot bat-
ter y bus.
EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Switches for the landing lights, taxi lights,
wing ice lights, navigation lights, recogni-
tion lights, rotating beacons, and wingtip
and tail flood lights are located on the pilot’s
subpanel (Figure 3-4). They are appropri-
ately placarded as to their function.
Tail floodlights, if installed, are incor po-
rated into the horizontal stabilizers and are
designed to illuminate both sides of the ver-
tical stabilizer. A switch for these lights,
placarded LIGHTS TAIL FLOOD–OFF, is
located on the pilot’s subpanel (Figure 3-4).
