4.5.2 RS-232C Protocol
Setting the communications rate
Select a communications rate from the three following choices.
•
38400 bps
• 19200 bps
• 9600 bps

Press the F2 (SPEED) key, or use the
▲▼
keys to move the cur-
sor to SPEED.
2.
Use the rotary knob to select 38400, 19200, or 9600 bps.
Setting the Data Length
Select a data length from the following two choices:
•
7 bit
• 8 bit

Press the F3 (DATA) key, or use the
▲▼
keys to move the cursor
to DATA.
2.
Use the rotary knob to select either 7 or 8.
Setting the Parity Bit
Select a parity bit from the following three choices:
•
NONE
• ODD
• EVEN
1.
Press the F4 (PARITY) key, or use the
▲▼
keys to move the cur-
sor to PARITY.
2.
Use the rotary knob to select NONE, ODD, or EVEN.
Setting the Stop Bit
Select a stop bit from the following two choices:
•
1 bit
• 2 bit

Press the F5 (STOP) key, or use the

keys to move the cursor
to STOP.
2.
Use the rotary knob to select either 1 or 2.
