Preparation
Connecting and Setting a Temperature Chamber
The Espec’s temperature chamber can be controlled with BPC4000.
To execute synchronous charge/discharge tests using a temperature chamber, you need to perform initial
settings and environmental settings for that temperature chamber.
Connect the PC to the temperature chamber through RS-485 or a LAN.
For details about Environment Settings, see the BPC4000 manual.
For details about the temperature chamber, see the operation manual attached to the Espec’s temperature
chamber.
System requirements
Flow of initial settings
Before the initial settings, install the VISA library and BPC4000 on the PC that controls the temperature
chamber.
For the installation and communication environment, see the setup guide for BPC4000.
Connecting with RS-485
(Example of using SI-35USB as a communication converter)

Install the driver included in SI-35USB on the PC and connect it to SI-35USB.

Configure the communication environment settings on the setting panel of the
temperature chamber.

Connect the temperature chamber to SI-35USB with a RS-485 cable.

Complete the connection and settings by following the steps given in the setup guide for BPC4000 or the
“Communication Environment Settings between PC and Temperature Chamber” in the user’s manual for
Test Executive.
Connecting through a LAN

Configure the communication environment settings on the setting panel of the
temperature chamber.

Connect the temperature chamber to the PC with a LAN cable.
