Connecting the Ethernet Port

This is an optional function for connection to a network printer. It is a factory
option. When the optional function is installed, the Ethernet port is mounted on the
rear side. Connect to the network using a Category 5 LAN cable or higher (RJ-45).
To connect to the network via the hub, use a straight cable. To connect directly to the
printer, use a cross cable.
For details on setting Ethernet communication conditions, see Section 4.4.2
"Setting the Date/Time, TCP/IP (Network Protocol) and Printer".
