The KICstart Software

  When the KIC

start

 software is running on the same computer as the oven controller, and/or when additional 

KIC

start 

options are installed, a faster CPU and more RAM may be required.

  A USB to Serial adapter is used to connect the KIC

start

 for profiling.

Languages 

 

The KIC

start

 software supports the following languages:

Some of the supported languages can only be used with their respective operating systems: 
English, German, and Spanish can be run on any of the supported Windows operating systems. 
 
To run KIC

start

 in Japanese, the operating system must be Windows-Japanese version.  To run KIC

start

 in 

Simplified or Traditional Chinese, the operating system must be Windows-Chinese version.  Japanese, 
Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese cannot be used with English versions of Windows operating 
systems. 
 
 

Installing the software 

Prior to the installation of the 

KICstart

 software, you should shutdown all other applications that are 

currently running on the computer as a precaution against software conflicts.  This is a sound practice 
whenever you install any software package. 
 

If you plan to use a Serial-USB adapter, install the hardware and software prior to installing KICstart. 

 
To install the software, perform the following steps:

Insert the CD into CDROM drive. 

♦

 

The installation should start automatically. 

♦

 

Follow the instructions for the installation program as the screens are displayed.
