Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)

extended rearward, or when it has
higher ground clearance.
僅 Never try to test the operation of For

ward Collision-Avoidance Assist.
Doing so may cause severe injury or
death.
僅 Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist is
designed to detect and monitor the
vehicle ahead or detect a pedestrian
in the roadway through front view
camera recognition and front radar
signals. It is not designed to detect
bicycles, motorcycles, or smaller
wheeled objects such as luggage
bags, shopping carts, or strollers.
僅 When replacing or reinstalling the
windscreen, front bumper or front
view camera recognition and front
radar signals after removal, have the
vehicle inspected by a professional
workshop. Kia recommends to visit an
authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
NOTICE
In some instances, Forward Collision-
Avoidance Assist may be cancelled
when subjected to electromagnetic
interference.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) (if
equipped)
Lane Keeping Assist detects the lane
markers on the road with a front view
camera at the front windscreen, and
assists the driver’s steering to help keep
the vehicle in the lanes.
When the function detects the vehicle
straying from its lane, it warns the driver
with a visual and audible warning, whilst
applying a counter-steering torque, try
-
ing to prevent the vehicle from moving
out of its lane.
