Features of your vehicle Fuel filler door

Once refuelling has begun, contact

Use only approved portable plastic
fuel containers designed to carry and
store petrol.
僅 Do not use mobile phones whilst refu

elling. Electric current and/or elec

tronic interference from mobile
phones can potentially ignite fuel
vapours causing a fire.
僅 When refuelling, always shut the
engine off. Sparks produced by elec
-
trical components related to the
engine can ignite fuel vapours caus
-
ing a fire. Once refuelling is complete,
check to make sure the filler cap and
filler door are securely closed, before
starting the engine.
僅 DO NOT use matches or a lighter and
DO NOT SMOKE or leave a lit ciga
-
rette in your vehicle whilst at a gas
station especially during refuelling.
Automotive fuel is highly flammable
and can result in fire when ignited.
僅 If a fire breaks out during refuelling,
leave the vicinity of the vehicle, and
immediately contact the manager of
the gas station and then contact the
local fire department. Follow any
safety instructions they provide.
CAUTION
僅 Make sure to refuel your vehicle
according to the "Fuel requirements"
on page 1-2".
僅 If the fuel filler cap requires replace

ment, use only Kia Genuine Parts or
those of an equivalent standard for
your vehicle.
An incorrect fuel filler cap can result in
a serious malfunction of the fuel sys

tem or emission control system. For
more detailed information, Kia recom

mends to contact an authorised Kia
dealer/service partner.

faces of the vehicle. Any type of fuel
spilled on painted surfaces may dam

age the paint.
僅 After refuelling, make sure the fuel
cap is installed securely to prevent
fuel spillage in the event of an acci
