Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)
WARNING
僅 Even though the warning message
does not appear on the cluster, Rear
Cross-Traffic Safety may not properly
operate.
僅 Rear Cross-Traffic Safety may not
properly operate in an area (e.g. open
terrain), where any substance are not
detected after turning ON the engine.
CAUTION
Turn off Rear Cross-Traffic Safety to
install a trailer, carrier, etc., and remove
the trailer, carrier, etc. to use Rear Cross-
Traffic Safety.
Limitations of Rear Cross-Traffic
Collision-Avoidance Assist
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance
Assist may not operate normally, or it
may operate unexpectedly under the
following circumstances:
僅 Departing from where trees or grass
is overgrown
僅 Departing from where roads are wet
僅 Speed of the approaching vehicle is
fast or slow
Braking control may not work, driver's
attention is required in the following cir

cumstances:
僅 The vehicle severely vibrates whilst
driving over a bumpy road, uneven
road or concrete patch
僅 Driving on a slippery surface due to
snow, water puddle, ice, etc.
僅 The tyre pressure is low or a tyre is
damaged
僅 The brake is reworked
僅 Remote Smart Parking Assist is oper

CAUTION

rear corner radar, refer to "Blind-Spot
Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) (if
equipped)" on page 6-80.

僅 Driving near a vehicle or structure
Rear Cross-Traffic Safety may be limited
when driving near a vehicle or structure,
and may not detect the vehicle
approaching from the left or right. If this
occurs, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-
Avoidance Assist may not warn the
driver or control the brakes when neces

sary.
Always check your surroundings whilst
backing up.
