Maintenance Scheduled maintenance service
At least once a year:
䳜 Clean the body and door drain
holes.
WARNING
When the coolant level is low, have
the reservoir filled by an authorized
Kia dealer by using only designated
coolant water for electric vehicles.
Using other types of water or anti

freeze can cause serious damage to
the vehicle.
䳜 Lubricate the door hinges and
check the hood hinges.
䳜 Lubricate the door and hood locks
and latches.
䳜 Lubricate the door rubber weath

erstrips.
䳜 Check the air conditioning system.
䳜 Inspect and lubricate automatic
transmission linkage and controls.
䳜 Clean the battery and terminals.
䳜 Check the brake fluid level.

roads.
䳜 Driving in areas using salt or other
corrosive materials or in very cold
weather.
䳜 Driving in heavy dust condition.
䳜 Driving in heavy traffic area.
䳜 Driving on uphill, downhill, or
mountain road repeatedly.
䳜 Towing a trailer or using a
camper, or roof rack.
䳜 Driving as a patrol car, taxi, other
commercial use of vehicle towing.
䳜 Driving over 106 mph (170 km/h).
䳜 Frequently driving in stop-and-go
condition.
If your vehicle is operated in any of
the prior listed conditions, you
should inspect, replace or refill more
frequently, using the severe usage
maintenance schedule instead of
the normal usage maintenance
schedule.
