Driving your vehicle Smart Cruise Control (SCC)
It will not resume, however, if the vehicle
speed has dropped below approxi
-
mately 30 km/h (20 mph).
To turn Cruise Control off, do one
of the following:
僅 Press the Driving Assist button
(CRUISE indicator will turn off).
僅 If your vehicle equipped the speed
limit, press the Driving Assist button
twice. (CRUISE indicator will turn off.)
僅 Turn the vehicle off.
Both of these actions cancel Cruise
Control operation. If you want to resume
Cruise Control operation, repeat the
steps provided on the previous page.

Smart Cruise Control allows you to pro

gram the vehicle to maintain constant
speed and distance detecting the vehicle
ahead without depressing the accelera

tor or brake pedal.
To see the Smart Cruise Control screen
on the LCD display on the cluster, select
Driving Assist mode (
). For more
informations, refer to "LCD display" on
page 5-38.

NOTICE
To activate Smart Cruise Control,
depress the brake pedal at least once
after turning the vehicle to the ON posi
-
tion or starting the vehicle. This is to
check if the brake switch which is
important part to cancel Smart Cruise
Control is in normal condition.
