Driving your vehicle Driver Attention Warning (DAW)
Driver's Attention
The driver must be cautious in the below
situations for the function may not assist
the driver and may not work properly.
僅 Do not stick or attach anything to the
windshield in front of the camera as
this may reduce effectiveness or
cause one more of the function
dependent on the camera to stop
working.
僅 Keep the windshield in the area
behind the interior rear view mirror
clean.
僅 Do not place reflective materials, such
as white paper or a mirror, on the
instrument panel.
僅 Do not strike or damage the areas
around the camera unit.
僅 Do not touch the camera lens or
remove the screw located on the cam

era unit.
僅 The function does not work in all situ
-
ations but is designed merely as a
supplementary aid.
僅 The function assists the driver and
does not replace the human eye.
僅 The driver always bears ultimate
responsibility for ensuring that the
vehicle is driven safely and that appli

cable road traffic rules and regula

tions are followed.

Driver Attention Warning is to warn the
driver with any hazardous driving situa

tions upon detecting the driver's atten

tion level or inattentive driving practices.
Driver Attention Warning
Settings
僅 Driver Attention Warning is set to be
in the OFF position, when your vehicle
is first delivered to you from the fac
-
tory.
僅 To turn ON Driver Attention Warning,
turn on the vehicle, and then select
User settings → Driver assistance →
Driver Attention Warning → Atten
-
tion warning on the LCD display.
僅 The set-up of Driver Attention Warn
-
ing will be maintained, as selected,
when the vehicle is restarted.
Display of the driver's attention
level
A: Attention level
1 Last Break
僅 The driver can monitor their driving
conditions on the LCD display.
- Select
User settings mode and
then Driver assistance on the LCD
display. (For more information,
refer to "LCD display" on page 5-
38.)
僅 Driver's attention level is displayed on
the scale of 1 to 5.The lower the level
is, the more inattentive the driver is.
