Driving your vehicle Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)

Lane Keeping Assist malfunction

message will appear. If the problem con

tinues Lane Safety indicator will appear.
Lane Safety indicator (yellow) will
appear if Lane Keeping Assist is not
working properly.
In this case, have the function checked
by a professional workshop. Kia recom

mends to visit an authorized Kia dealer/
service partner.
Limitations of Lane Keeping
Assist
The driver must be cautious in the below
situations may not work properly when
recognition of the lane marker is poor or
limited:
When lane and road condition is poor
僅 It is difficult to distinguish the lane
marker or road edge from road when
the lane marker or road edge is cov

ered with dust or sand.
僅 It is difficult to distinguish the color of
the lane marker from road.
僅 There is something looks like a lane
marker.
僅 The lane marker or road edge is indis

tinct or damaged.
僅 The number of lanes increases/
decreases or the lane lines are cross

ing (Driving through a toll plaza/toll
gate, merged/divided lane).

visible due to snow, rain, stain, a pud

When external condition is intervened
