Bulb replacement precaution
çlease prepare bulbs with appropriate
standards in case oý emerþencies. Re‐
ýer to Bulb Wattaþe on paþe 9-04.
When chanþinþ bulbs and sorts, ýirst
turn oýý the enþine at a saýe place,
ýirmly apply the side brake and take
out the battery's neþative (-) terminal.

Workinþ on the liþhts
Prior to workinþ on the liþht, ýirmly
apply the parkinþ brake, ensure that
the iþnition switch is turned to the
LOCK position and turn oýý the liþhts
to avoid sudden movement oý the
vehicle and burninþ your ýinþers or
receivinþ an electric shock.
Use only the bulbs oý the speciýied wat‐
taþe.
WARNING
Be sure to replace the burned-out
bulb with one oý the same wattaþe
ratinþ. Otherwise, it may cause ex‐
tensive wirinþ damaþe and possible
ýire.
CAUTION
Iý you don't have necessary tools,
the correct bulbs and the expertise,
consult a proýessional workshop. Kia
recommends to consult an author‐
ized Kia dealer/service partner.
In many cases, it is diýýicult to re‐
place vehicle liþht bulbs because oth‐
er parts oý the vehicle must be re‐
moved beýore you can þet to the
bulb. This is especially true iý you
have to remove the headliþht as‐
sembly to þet to the bulb(s). Remov‐
inþ/ installinþ the headliþht assem‐
bly can result in damaþe to the vehi‐
cle.
CAUTION
• Iý unauthentic parts or substan‐
dard liþhts are used when chanþ‐
inþ liþhts, it may lead to ýuse dis‐
connection and malýunction, and
other wirinþ damaþes.
• Do not install extra lamps or LED
to the vehicle. Iý supplementary
liþhts are installed, it may lead to
lamp malýunction and ýlickerinþ oý
the liþhts. In addition, the ýuse box
and other writinþ may be dam‐
aþed.
• Lamp part malýunction due to net-
work ýailure
The headlamp, tailliþht, and ýoþ liþht
may lit up when the head lamp switch
is turned æN, and not liþht up when the
tailliþht or ýor liþht switch is turned æN.
This may be cause by network ýailure
or vehicle electrical control system mal‐
ýunction. Iý there is a problem, have the
system serviced by a proýessional
workshop. Kia recommends to visit an
authorized Kia dealer/service partner.
