Smart Cruise Control (SCC)
Assist view on the cluster. Refer to
"Instrument cluster" on page 4-52.
Smart Cruise Control will be displayed as
below depending on the status of the
function.
僅 When operating
(1) Whether there is a vehicle ahead and
the selected distance level are displayed.
(2) Set speed is displayed.(3) Whether
there is a vehicle ahead and the target
vehicle distance are displayed.
僅 When temporarily cancelled
(1) CRUISE indicator is displayed.(2)
The previous set speed is shaded.
NOTICE
僅 The actual distance with the front
vehicle is displayed.
僅 The target distance may vary accord
-
ing to the vehicle speed and the set
distance level. If vehicle speed is low,
even though the vehicle distance have
changed, the change of the target
vehicle distance may be small.
To temporarily accelerate
If you want to speed up temporarily
when Smart Cruise Control is on,
depress the accelerator pedal for a cer
-
tain amount. whilst depressing the accel
-
erator pedal for a certain amount, the
set speed, distance level and target dis
-
tance will blink on the cluster. However,
if the accelerator pedal is insufficiently
depressed, the vehicle may slow down.
WARNING
Be careful when accelerating temporar
-
ily, because the speed is not controlled
automatically even if there is a vehicle in
front of you.
Smart Cruise Control temporarily
cancelled
Smart Cruise Control will be temporarily
cancelled automatically when:
僅 The vehicle speed is above 180 km/h
(110 mph)
僅 The vehicle is stopped for a certain
period of time
僅 The accelerator pedal is continuously
depressed for a certain period of time
僅 The conditions for Smart Cruise Con
-
trol to operate is not satisfied
If the function is temporarily cancelled,
the ‘SCC (Smart Cruise Control) can
-
celled' warning message will appear on
the cluster, and an audible warning will
sound to warn the driver.
