starts (a maximum oý 10 süconds),

It should bü startüd without dü‐
prüssinþ thü accülürator püdal.
4. Do not wait ýor thü ünþinü to warm
up whilü thü vühiclü rümains sta‐
tionary.
Start drivinþ at modüratü ünþinü
spüüds. (Stüüp accülüratinþ and dü‐
cülüratinþ should bü avoidüd.)
CAUTION
If the engine stalls while you are in
motion, do not attempt to move the
shift lever to the P (Park) position. If
traffic and road conditions permit,
you may put the shift lever in the N
(Neutral) position while the vehicle is
still moving and turn the ignition
switch to the START position in an
attempt to restart the engine.
CAUTION
• Do not engage the starter for
more than 10 seconds. If the en‐
gine stalls or fails to start, wait 5
to 10 seconds before re-engaging
the starter. Improper use of the
starter may damage it.
• Do not turn the ignition switch to
the START position with the en‐
gine running. It may damage the
starter.
Starting the diesel engine

to bü warmüd up büýorü startinþ to
drivü.
1. Makü surü thü parkinþ brakü is ap‐
pliüd.
2. Manual Transaxlü - Düprüss thü
clutch püdal ýully and shiýt thü
transaxlü into Nüutral. Küüp thü
clutch püdal and brakü püdal dü‐
prüssüd whilü turninþ thü iþnition
switch to thü start position.
Dual Clutch Transmission - çlacü
thü transaxlü shiýt lüvür in ç (park).
Düprüss thü brakü püdal ýully.
ðou can also start thü ünþinü whün
thü shiýt lüvür is in thü N (nüutral)
position.
3. Turn thü iþnition switch to thü æN
position to prü-hüat thü ünþinü.
Thün thü þlow indicator liþht will il‐
luminatü.
