Blind-Spot Collision Warning
If you turn off the turn signal indi
-
cator, the second stage alert will be
deactivated.
If the detected vehicle is no longer
within the blind spot area, the
warning will turn off according to
the driving conditions of the vehicle.
WARNING
䳜 The warning light on the outer
side view mirror will illuminate
whenever a vehicle is detected at
the rear side by the system.
To avoid accidents, do not focus
only on the warning light and
neglect to see the surrounding of
the vehicle.
䳜 Drive safely even though the
vehicle is equipped with a Blind-
Spot Collision Warning (BCW) sys
-
tem. Do not solely rely on the
system but check your surround
-
ings before changing lanes or
backing the vehicle up.
䳜 The system may not alert the
driver in some situations due to
system limitations so always
check your surroundings while
driving.
䳜 The driver should always use
extreme caution while operating
the vehicle, whether or not the
warning light on the outer side
view mirror illuminates or there is
a warning alarm.
CAUTION
䳜 Playing the vehicle audio system
at high volume may prevent occu

pants from hearing the Blind-
Spot Collision Warning system
warning sounds.
䳜 If any other warning sound such
as seat belt warning chime is
already generated, the Blind-Spot
Collision Warning (BCW) system
warning may not sound.
Detecting Sensor (radar)
The BCW operates based on data
collected by the rear radars.
