Fireplace Note:
Install fireplace and chimney
components as per fireplace
manufacturers installation
instructions.
Capping Support Angle /
Cutting Note:
Purchase 1½" x 1½" - 14
gauge or stronger zinc
plated slotted angles at
your local big box store or
equal. Cut angles to seat
on top of block course
and between angles on
either side of chimney
section as per plans.

Coat angles with a
primer or paint coating
for corrosion protection
prior to installation. Place
concrete block adhesive
on blocks at angle
locations then place
angle ends in adhesive
to secure. Place adhesive
on angles / blocks then
place capping units as
per plans.
Block Cutting Note:
Using a concrete saw or wheel grinder
tool w/masonry disk, cut block units
as needed. Block units to be cut due
to obstruction are labeled with solid
hatching. Block units to be cut to fit are
labeled with angular hatching.
